Hi, Everyone..Onam is in the air.Its time to revive our rich traditions.Atham, which marks the start of the ten day long 'Onam' festivities.Atham heralded the beginning of Onam festivities in the state on Wednesday which culminates ten days later on Thiruvonam, The celebrations of Onam start on Atham day, 10 days before Thiruvonam. The 10 days are part of the traditional Onam celebrations and each day has its own beauty! :)

ReplyDeleteOnam is the symbol of Gods Greatness and the reward for the ultimate sacrifice (Maha-Bali). King Mahabali had luck of having Lord Vishnu's Feet On his Head by which all his sins ego and life and death cycle has been stopped. Even we worship the rock where lord Ramas Feet symbol is there.

ReplyDeleteOnam festival is indeed a wonderful day to celebrate greatness and happiness. The festivity is really immense and its really nice to see and feel the atmosphere of mirth on the celebration.
