why is it always late while we realize an artist?

Ratheesh (Photo:Facebook)

Why is it always late while we realize an Artist?Art is a lie that makes us realize truth, at least the truth that is given us to understand. ...

I’ve never thought much about drawings by Ratheesh. Then, a few months or an year ago, I saw Ratheesh’s pencil drawings through my friend Anand, colleague of him, both working in a reputed company in Trivandrum, and was quite impressed with it. And even more recently, I happened upon Ratheesh’s updates over Facebook.

His recent drawing includes great Musician and songwriter Saul Hudson, professionally known as Slash

Dubai Dream

and perhaps, nothing really is
Dubai glistens. Impossibly-shiny glass windows gleam across blocks of new high-rises and 350,000 sqm shopping malls. Sprawling man-made lakes glitter in the brilliant sunlight. A 40-minute drive from downtown takes you to a surreal dreamscape filled with golden sand, where friendly camels trot and tourist-hungry campsites stage belly dances by twilight. And of course, the heat. The intense, body-baking heat that rises out of the sand that goes everywhere. Your shoes, your room, the pockets of your jeans. Thanks to some friends living there,Dubai is a strange place – sparse with people and filled with multi-billion dollar dreams. Drive through the city  (it’s laid out in one long line), and you’ll find towering, half-finished buildings left standing as if discarded by a giant child. Nobody walks anywhere because of the heat, so the city in the middle of the afternoon resembles a dusty ghost town. The countless malls are laden with brands from everywhere in the world – burgers from South Africa, Lebanese sharwarma wraps, Italian bags of the softest leather, bakeries from Australia. Stay too long in Dubai – and you’ll feel like you’re wandering about in a hazy dream. Nothing seems quite real. And perhaps, nothing really is.

evening thoughts ...

taking the beauty of life for granted
I feel like I fell in love with your words
and your voice
all before knowing your name.
Maybe in another life
we’ll meet again.

heartfelt tears

Welcome friends. I know the blog post has been heavy lately, and to those who have been so faithful in reading, thank you. But I want to make sure you know, it's not all tears. Life is beautiful. Joyful. Funny.

A dear friend of mine was telling me about a dream she had last night. That she dreamt and woke up with a drumful of tears and bitterness. But it was just a dream. Most people believe that real men never shed tears, not to mention crying. The very fact that they do laugh demands that they do the opposite when situations reverse. Some situations must milk tears even from the driest eye
When talking about the tears; you shed when your sins weigh heavily on you and consequently groan for mercy and forgiveness. All saints without exception must shed tears at some point.

Transit of venus 2012

Taken by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory from geosynchronous orbit. (click photo to enlarge)
Our sister planet Venus as it plunges just past the solar limb and crosses the sun’s face. SDO took images in several different wavelengths, including extreme ultraviolet that shows the sun blazing with fierce magnetic field lines. Venus looks like it’s going to get burned above a hellish landscape as it sails across the sun’s face — it’s more than 67 million miles away so there’s no actual chance of that. This is the first time that a satellite has taken such high-quality images of a transit of Venus

Great photo of the transit taken from Chicago. The flight path of O’Hare International Airport was between camera and the sun, leading to an incredible airplane silhouette alongside Venus crossing the sun.

the treasure you look for is hidden in the ground on which you stand

Patience is a hard discipline. It is not just waiting until something happens over which we have no control: the arrival of the bus, the end of the rain, the return of a friend, the resolution of a conflict. Patience is not waiting passively until someone else does something. Patience asks us to live the moment to the fullest, to be completely present to the moment, to taste the here and now, to be where we are. When we are impatient, we try to get away from where we are. We behave as if the real thing will happen tomorrow, later, and somewhere else. Let’s be patient and trust that the treasure we look for is hidden in the ground on which we stand.

Will someone make me happy?

At any moment in our lives, we can change our mindset and choose to be happy
All right, here’s the sitch, I haven’t blogged in a while and I’m not planning on it anymore. It has nothing to do with me not having fun because I’m having a good time. It’s because I was blogging in the beginning because I missed something/home and was unhappy. But I’m not anymore, in fact, I don’t want to go home!!

 Will someone make me happy?

No one can make you happy.  If you are waiting for someone to come along and fix your life, you are in for a huge disappointment.  There is no person who can “fix” you.  You are a human being with some strengths and some weaknesses but are not fixable by another human.
You need to work on yourself.
The best you can hope for is to find someone who really loves you.  Who is deeply flawed, but genuinely loves you, expresses that love by trying to be considerate of you in tangible ways, and is trying to improve, that is it. You need to work on you.  Just like you can work on your body with physical exercise, you need to work on your emotions, mind and soul.  The closer you get to being a complete person the closer you will be to finding happiness. The closer you are to being a complete person the more likely you are to be in a happy relationship (or to do what some people would call “find your soul mate”).  And get ready cause he/she will be a work in progress, just like you.

Illusion

Buddhism says that our current way of life (called Samsara) is an illusion
The Buddha said, “Oh, Bhikshu, every moment you are born, decay, and die.” He meant that, every moment, the illusion of "me" renews itself. Not only is nothing carried over from one life to the next; nothing is carried over from one moment to the next.

For the past few months I don't quite understand what has happened to me. I have come to know about the idea that we are all one single consciousness, and have felt frustrated since knowing this world is an illusion. And if you flee, if you escape, will you ever truly be free?
Yes,Life is an illusion. We always think with the help of love, friendship, we can remain happy forever. But in reality it never happens, everything come to an end....and on that day we are again alone, battling the life in our own way with no one to support. Then, why we don't want to accept this fact, I think the prime reason is we want to be happy, happy forever.Life is an illusion, death is the ultimate truth. We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we're not alone.Accept it! :)

Dreamy Synth

It is said "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
There is beauty in every life, every moment.
Here is to finding it in every moment of my life.
I am just one who looks for the small moments in life to find pleasure in.
The chance to do something important is often found in small moments and small acts.

Masterful Comeback

I remember reading an article by Santigold on vision a couple of days ago. Santigold described how...

“We can decide what we see for ourselves and for our world, and make our vision a reality.”
Santigold is who she is:  she doesn’t sway her artistic vision under the waves of pop music.
You will fall in love with this World as the songs of nature are soothing with fresh beats
and deep lyrics. The love beats combine well with the intriguing green elements.

Still crazy after all these years!

This is just a blog of my random thoughts. This will be a collection of everything from my thoughts, to funny things I find on the net (including tweets and FB status) to whatever else I decide to post.We all have a story and random thoughts that swim through our heads; they are what shape us into who & where we are today.Do you go and find random FB posts and comment on them or are these people we know?

Still Crazy After All These Years..
I still remember the first time I saw Google from an internet cafe I started using the internet around 2000, which was the one that led to all the ones I use today – Firefox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc.

It was like a whole new world.
