This time, however, felt different...

Photo: John

This is not a a piece expounding on how I randomly check different writings and I use my Macbook only for typing Passwords and search queries, I cannot admit that there's a writer's block. When we see a performing art, a painting,  a book, a creativity.. we are being a part of that and an inheritance happens.

Solitude

For the last couple of weeks things happening like that.. Apart from a performer, becoming a viewer, audience. Hands or fingers froze? Staring screen, nothing to write

Life is easy

 A small Anecdote

A professor began his class by holding up a glass with some water in it.
He held it up for all to see; asked the students,' How much do you think this glass weighs?'
'50gms!' .... '100gms!' ......'125gms' ......the students answered.
'I really don't know unless I weigh it,' said the professor,'but, my question is: What would happen if I held it up like this for a few minutes?'
'Nothing' the students said.
'Ok what would happen if I held it up like this for an hour? ' the professor asked.
'Your arm would begin to ache' said one of the students.
'You're right, now what would happen if I held it for a day?'
'Your arm could go numb, you might have severe muscle stress; paralysis;
Have to go to hospital for sure!'ventured another student; all the students laughed.
'Very good. But during all this, did the weight of the glass change? ' asked
The professor. 'No' the students said.
Then what caused the arm ache & the muscle stress?'
The students were puzzled.
'Put the glass down!' said one of the students.
'Exactly!' said the professor.' Life's problems are something like this.
Hold it for a few minutes in your head; they seem OK.
Think of them for a long time & they begin to ache. Hold it even longer & they begin to paralyze you. You will not be able to do anything.
It's important to think of the challenges (problems) in your life, but
EVEN MORE IMPORTANT to 'put them down' at the end of every day before you go to sleep.
That way, you are not stressed, you wake up every day fresh & strong & can handle any issue, any challenge that comes your way!'

Remember to 'PUT THE GLASS DOWN TODAY!

the treasure you look for is hidden in the ground on which you stand

Patience is a hard discipline. It is not just waiting until something happens over which we have no control: the arrival of the bus, the end of the rain, the return of a friend, the resolution of a conflict. Patience is not waiting passively until someone else does something. Patience asks us to live the moment to the fullest, to be completely present to the moment, to taste the here and now, to be where we are. When we are impatient, we try to get away from where we are. We behave as if the real thing will happen tomorrow, later, and somewhere else. Let’s be patient and trust that the treasure we look for is hidden in the ground on which we stand.

Will someone make me happy?

At any moment in our lives, we can change our mindset and choose to be happy
All right, here’s the sitch, I haven’t blogged in a while and I’m not planning on it anymore. It has nothing to do with me not having fun because I’m having a good time. It’s because I was blogging in the beginning because I missed something/home and was unhappy. But I’m not anymore, in fact, I don’t want to go home!!

 Will someone make me happy?

No one can make you happy.  If you are waiting for someone to come along and fix your life, you are in for a huge disappointment.  There is no person who can “fix” you.  You are a human being with some strengths and some weaknesses but are not fixable by another human.
You need to work on yourself.
The best you can hope for is to find someone who really loves you.  Who is deeply flawed, but genuinely loves you, expresses that love by trying to be considerate of you in tangible ways, and is trying to improve, that is it. You need to work on you.  Just like you can work on your body with physical exercise, you need to work on your emotions, mind and soul.  The closer you get to being a complete person the closer you will be to finding happiness. The closer you are to being a complete person the more likely you are to be in a happy relationship (or to do what some people would call “find your soul mate”).  And get ready cause he/she will be a work in progress, just like you.
